The timeline of this epic space opera franchise has been notoriously jumpy since its conception in 1977, when the first movie, A New Hope, was released. Someone who’s just dipping their toe into the galaxy of Star Wars media will likely wonder: where should I start? There are canon novels, film novelizations, reference books, comics, books for young readers, roleplaying sourcebooks - and that’s not to mention all of the storylines depicted in the video games and TV series. In other words, you wouldn’t have time to finish them all by the time Rogue Squadron hits theaters in 2023. You would find yourself reading for a long, long time.
